Those members of the club who have previously joined as Vice Presidents
are invited this year to join the Patrons
membership forms are obtainable from the bar.
The walkway down the side of the club has been 'roofed' over, to give members
options to spend more time outside without the weather issues that our climate brings.
This will ease congestion around the French doors area and benefit the club on the
more crowded days. This has been funded by the Patron's fund to a value of £2000.
This is on top of the funding by the fund of over £1000 to support pitch improvements
during the summer as well as contributions towards transport costs for last years
Under 16 and 17s, who both reached the Somerset Cup Finals.
There is due to be meeting between the club and the patrons regarding some
infrastructure projects that the club would like to look at in the hope that the patron's
Fund can support these.

HORNETS 2NDS 7 ST BERNADETTES 2NDS 22
After another rocky warm up and another number of last minute changes with players being moved up to the first team and others such as dudd and martin jnr failing to show it was not surprising that hornets were going to be up against it from the start.
Within the first five minutes hornets soon realised this was going to be a usual physical combination fixture which surely would have left players with sore heads today. This soon turned into the bernadettes game plan as soon some of the younger hornets players found themselves being bullied both on and off the ball.
Hornets full back and part time olympic sprinter Hewlett soon crossed the line to be converted by Keating but this was to be the only home points of the day. Time went on the game soon turned from a rugby game to a boxing match soon to be intervened by the ref who issued Hewlett with a yellow card much to some of the home supporters annoyance.
Following the first half and several warnings the ref called both teams in and issued his final warning of the afternoon, thankfully both teams adhered and the rugby began, something must of clicked in the second half with rugby going well. the re were strong attacking runs from Hedges, Grimes and Armstrong aswell as a truly epic comeback from Richards.
Hornets managed to hold there 7 point win for most of the second half due to fantastic defending from centres Coggins and Lawrence. Vaughn again making a BIG difference coming on at 10 to bring some experience to the back line.
With a neck injury causing the scrummage to have to go uncontested this seemed to be the turning point for hornets with heads dropping and moral at a low things seemed to be harder going in the final twenty with hornets letting in 22 points and generally giving bernadettes the game. Hornets will have to work hard on there organisation for next week if they plan to stay contenders in the league.
Special mentions have to go to the strong back row performance and weston prop Grimes for lending his services from down the road.
